5 FASHIONABLE DAYS TILL XMAS - UNIVERSE
In the tradition of the Xmas countdown, I wanted to do fashion spinoff, counting down days before xmas in special stylish themes. After all it is the holidays and dressing up should be super duper extra special. Today the theme is: UNIVERSE I was zeroing on wearing a full on matching set of galaxy printed looks since last year thanks to Christopher Kane’s take on this print. The look was so fresh it spawned a following. I yearned to find one and on that quest i even designed my own print but it was only for a pair of boardshorts. I wanted a full on look so I waited. Then it happened. Last tuesday a package arrived bearing the most amazing galaxy printed top and skirt Ive seen yet. It is from the collection of the amazing stylish duo behind the cool brand PInkaholic. I found out about their brand when I met Stephanie ( lookbook.nu/fashionbandwagon ) and her best friend Mariel in lookbook:) I kept on noticing their looks and found out that the clothes they often wear are from Steph’s own line!! It wasnt long till I inquired about ordering when I saw Steph wearing a cool t shirt style galaxy printed top!!! So I wrote Steph I wanted one then Steph replied that they have it and it also comes in a matching full skirt! Yes!!!!:) A few days later, I got my own matching galaxy printed set!!! Thank you to the amazing Steph and Sheila of Pinkaholic for the amazing gift:)!!!!!! It truly made my early xmas uber special:)!!!!!!! If I may digress….speaking of the besties I remember meeting Steph and Mariel ( lookbook.nu/wickedying ) last October during Philippine fashion week and they were both amazingly gorgeous in person as they were in their lookbook posts:) Its cool to find girls who embody their own brands and wear their own stuff If you girls are looking for cool clothes for your lookbook posts go check Pinkaholic: facebook.com/pinkaholicfashionshoppe About the look: I wanted an ethereal look today vis- a-vis Indian culture so I wore the galaxy printed skirt over harems and draped it to give a dramatic texture over the trousers like how saris are worn. Jewelry is key to the look so chunk and chunks of bracelets in leather, metal and rope and of course a statement neckpiece and earring to seal the look. I also included a paisley trim worn as a bindi on my forehead to give the look added oomph. photos by Kenn
